for beautiful eyes, look for the good in others; for beautiful lips, speak only words of kindness; and for poise, walk with the knowledge that you are never alone.

true.friendship

“true friendship is like sound health; the value of it is seldom known until it is lost”

it is quite sad when individuals are willing to let their hard-earned friendships slowly fade. of course, there are certain circumstances when ending a friendship is inevitable. but busy schedules and silly arguments should have no bearing in determining a friendship’s ability to stay strong.

friendships are truly precious, and they should be treated with the highest respect.

for me, i’ve been super blessed with amazing friends throughout my whole fifteen years of existence. from the first day of kindergarten to the first day of tenth grade, i’ve been surrounded by loving and supportive individuals that I am honored to call my friends.

but the truth is? friendships don’t magically become everlasting over-night. meaningful friendships require patience and effort. effort is needed to obtain a friendship, and effort is needed to not let one another drift apart once life gets in the way…

so try hard to hold those friends tight, and to look at every silly argument as just a small bump in the long road to lasting friendship.

operation.beautiful

hello. : ) for the next week, i have a mission: to leave post-it-notes in random places with the message “you are beautiful” written on them.

i recently learned of an inspiring website named “operation beautiful.” operation beautiful’s goal is to eliminate the negative self-talk that is so damaging to one’s self-esteem. the way to achieve this goal is quite simple: “post anonymous notes in public places for other women to find.” these notes can say anything, anything that is inspiring or kind. such a simple task, yeah?!

personally, i think operation beautiful is super awesome. it’s a small reminder that you are perfect just the way you are, in a world that sometimes says otherwise.

wanna participate in this mission with me? http://operationbeautiful.com/

♥ always, hannah

one.life.at.a.time

hello. : ) my name is hannah sullivan, and i am starting this blog to fulfill one primary goal: to hopefully offer some sort of hope, inspiration, or perhaps advice to anyone who may read it.

i should introduce myself! i am a fifteen year old high school sophomore, who cherishes the fact that each day is a gift. my goal in life is to live my days to their fullest, and to show enough kindness to those around me to impact their lives. because changing the world starts with changing one life at a time, right?

it is my hope that you will continue reading my blog, as it has always been a passion of mine to reach out to others through words.

have a blessed day!

♥ always, hannah
